In high school,
they do not teach you
the important things.
You walk across the stage
and are handed a piece of paper
proving that you can survive
four years in hell;
someone makes a speech
telling you how great
and big
and new
the world is,
regurgitating well-rehearsed lies
that not even
they believe.

But they do not warn you
of the lonely nights ahead
in your new apartment
that is much too big for you
and does not feel like home,
or of the heartbreak endured
as your love walks out your door
for the very last time.
No one tells you
how quickly bills will pile up,
or how it is now up to you
to pull yourself out of bed
every morning
and pretend you are alive.

I can recite the Cell Theory in my sleep.
I dream of math equations that I will never need.
I can recite Walt Whitman like his words were once mine,
but I must’ve skipped over the chapter in my textbook
that tells me how to be alive.

You’re beautiful, don’t listen to what they are saying and accusing to you. As long as you know you’re doing what is right and you’re not stepping on someone’s foot, there’s nothing to worry, there’s nothing to be afraid of.

You’re worth it. You deserve someone better. Crying doesn’t mean you’re weak, so it’s fine if you cry, let it out. You just need to wait for that “someone”. Don’t rush things, God has a plan for you! Cheer up.

You’ll be successful in the future. Don’t give up, a piece if paper won’t make your future. So what if you failed your math exam? There’s always a second chance, just believe in yourself and don’t stress yourself out!

Someone loves you, someone cares for you without you knowing. Don’t feel sad because you think you’re alone, I’m always here for you, we’re always here for you. If you need someone to talk to, you can approach me anytime!

Don’t stop believing. Dream big, trust yourself and for sure you’ll succeed. And if you don’t succeed now, just wait. God has a better plan for you and it will come on the right time and right place.

Never give up even when the whole universe’s already telling you to. All you need to do is to trust yourself that you can do it! Don’t give up or you’ll regret. yas.

Forgive but never forget. Maturity is when you understand someone’s decision to hurt you rather than judging or hating them. It’s when you try to understand their situation instead of trying to hurt them back. There’s always a reason, remember that.

Give your best shot in everything you do. This is life, we only live once so why not do it right? Let’s give our best always because if we won’t do it we might as well regret everything in the near future.

1. Receiving handwritten letters from random people. I’ve always loved letters. I appreciate the effort they put on writing something for me, it feels so good. :-)
2. Talking to one of the most important persons in my life for the very first time, deym feels so good.
3. Being contented with what I have right now. Too many blessings!! I’m so thankful with every little thing I have.
4. The 1975 and 5SOS. LADS
5. When I finally shared my secret to one of my classmates. I find it hard to tell my stories to others even with my friends. I don’t know, it’s not because I don’t trust them, maybe because I’m too shy and I keep everything with me, I don’t share it to others because I don’t want them to get stressed with my problems. :)
6. SIOMAI.
7. Knowing that there’s someone who can fight for me in the near future though I can fight for myself, it’s good to know that someone cares for me.
8. Being stronger than before. Being a bit matured than before. This is teenage life where you learn a lot from older and younger people.
9. Crossing the road without the help of anyone. YAS. This is once in a lifetime. Too proud of myself I can’t
10. When your hard works paid off! Congrats SFX, St. Jerome, St. Tarcisicius and to all g9, we made it all! :)
